How to Get Your laverne.edu Gmail Email Account

The University of La Verne automatically creates a laverne.edu Gmail account for students within 24 hours of submitting their tuition deposit. You should try to access it as soon as you have completed this.
It is the responsibility of each student to check his/her email account on a regular basis. All official email communication from the University (registration deadlines, advising, student billing, financial aid, as well as communication from your instructors and academic advisor) will be sent to your @laverne.edu Gmail address, so whatever option you choose, you must check your @laverne.edu Gmail messages regularly.

View your @laverne.edu Gmail Email account name

  1. To view your Gmail Email address(es) click here using the following information/instructions.

    User ID = Your eight-digit University of La Verne ID Number.
    PIN = Enter your PIN.
    NOTE: If you are having trouble logging in, contact the Office of the Registrar 909-448-4001 during normal business hours or the Unified Service Desk 909-448-4130 during normal business hours.

  3. Next click the link “View your E-mail address(es)“.
  4. Your @laverne.edu Gmail email account will be listed under ‘La Verne E-Mail Address‘.

  1. Go to the University of La Verne Portal home page at https://myportal.laverne.edu
  2. Click the ‘First time user’ link. Enter your Banner ID, Last Name, and Role (student).
  3. Once you have entered this information you will receive a success message and an email sent to your personal email (ex. Yahoo, Msn, etc.) in our school’s system. You will receive your temporary password provided in the email.
  4. Click this link here enter your username and temporary one time use password.
  5. The next step will be to reset your password. Make sure you follow the password guidelines in order to correctly set your password click OK.
  6. Once you have logged in, please click on the icon on the left column in the Launch Pad.

How to access your laverne.edu Gmail Account for Current User

  1. Go to the University of La Verne Portal home page at https://myportal.laverne.edu
  2. Enter your La Verne email and password.
  3. Once you have logged in, please click on the icon on the left column in the Launch Pad.
  4. Note: If you forgot your password click the link ‘Forgot Password’ located on the La Verne Portal home page.

How to use your laverne.edu Gmail

Once you have logged into the La Verne Portal and accessed laverne.edu Gmail account, you can click on the “Help” link on the top of the page to access the Gmail Help Center.

How to change your La Verne Portal/Gmail password

Log into your La Verne Portal account. When you reach the Home page click ‘My Account’ located on the top right corner. On the left side Menu Bar click ‘Reset Password’. This will reset your La Verne Portal and Gmail password .
