Arsen (’84) and Hasmik Danielian Honored For Service, Leadership

Glendale Adventist Medical Center (GAMC) recently honored University of La Verne College of Law alumnus Arsen (’84) Danielian and his wife, Hasmik with its Erwin J. Remboldt Founder’s Award for outstanding individual philanthropy during its annual Black Tie Gala on April 27.

The Danielians have long been involved in their community. Arsen’s connection with GAMC began with his joining the Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors in 1996. Through service to the foundation, both he and Hasmik embraced the hospital’s mission, calling the work inspiring and impactful.

A partner in the Glendale law firm of Baker, Olson, LeCroy & Danielian, Arsen earned a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of La Verne (1982) and his Juris Doctor from La Verne Law. Hasmik, Superintendent of the Brawley Union High School District, is a La Verne alumna, having earned her Master of Education in Bilingual Education in 1981.

In 2010, Arsen traveled to Yerevan, Armenia, to receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree (LL.D) from the Armenian State Pedagogical University After Khachatur Abovyan. The degree was presented in recognition of more than 40 years contributing to the Armenian community, including being Special Envoy of his Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Holy See of Cilicia, Antelias, Lebanon, and chair of General Assembly (World Congress) and member of the Central Executive Council of the Catholicosate of the Holy See of Cilicia, Antelias, Lebanon.

Hasmik has long been immersed in educational service. A guest speaker and adjunct faculty member at both USC and Azusa Pacific, she has served as Commissioner at the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of several other educational boards of directors.

The Danielians are active supporters of La Verne as members of the University’s 1891 Society and La Verne Law’s $7.5 Million Club.
