Golf Tournament Generates $80K for Scholarships

The University of La Verne raised more than $80,000 in support of student scholarships and programs during its annual golf tournament at Glendora Country Club. About 120 golfers took to the green Sept. 19 for the event, which has been held for more than a decade and generated more than $1 million.

Dallas Parent, a senior on the football team, spoke at the tournament about how financial support has helped him through his college career.

“I appreciate and thank you for making my dreams come true and striving to make this university the best it can be,” he said.
