ULV Graduate Programs Nationally Ranked – AGAIN!

The University of La Verne has once again earned recognition for its graduate programs, securing spots in the prestigious U.S. News & World Report 2025 Best Graduate Programs rankings.
“These rankings affirm our commitment to accessible, impactful graduate education, empowering diverse learners across California and online to lead and serve their communities,” said Interim Provost Laura Hartley.
The university received recognition in the following categories:
- Best Education Schools: Ranked #198 (tie)
- Best Public Affairs Programs: Ranked #129 (tie)
The LaFetra College of Education offers an array of graduate programs, including teaching preparation, leadership, educational counseling, school psychology, and child and adolescent development, available both online and in traditional formats. Notably, this summer marks the launch of a two-year, stackable online doctoral program in educational leadership. It features a “problem of practice” approach, offering current and aspiring leaders opportunities to address real-world challenges, networking opportunities and leadership development.
Building on a legacy of leadership development, the university also excels in preparing professionals for impactful careers in public service. As a distinguished member of the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA), the university offers Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Doctor of Public Administration (DPA) degree programs. These programs prepare students for leadership roles in government agencies, local municipalities, and nonprofit organizations.
Graduates of the MPA program have gone on to careers in public service, with over half securing positions in local, state, and federal government agencies, while a quarter contribute to the nonprofit sector. Others pursue careers in nonprofit management and public policy, making a significant impact on their communities.
Designed to assist prospective students in selecting the right graduate programs, the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools rankings evaluate institutions based on enrollment trends, job placement rates, faculty expertise, program reputation, and other key quality indicators. By collecting and analyzing data annually, the rankings provide the most up-to-date insights to help students make informed decisions about their education.
