University of La Verne Appoints Dr. Marquisha Frost as Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Mission Integration

La Verne, CA  The University of La Verne is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr.
Marquisha Frost as the new Associate Vice President for Inclusive Excellence and Mission
Integration, effective August 4, 2025.


Dr. Frost brings more than a decade of leadership experience in higher education, nonprofit
strategy, and inclusive excellence. She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategic
Engagement and Initiatives and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the Nebraska Children
and Families Foundation, where she led statewide initiatives to promote equity, wellbeing, and
systemic change.


A former adjunct professor at the University of La Verne and Youth Coordinator at the La Verne
Church of the Brethren, Dr. Frost is deeply familiar with the university’s mission and the
surrounding community. Her return marks a homecoming to a campus she describes as having
“La Verne Magic.”


In her new role, Dr. Frost will report to the provost and work closely with leadership across
campus on strategic efforts that advance the university’s core valuesEthical Reasoning,
Diversity and Inclusivity, Lifelong Learning, and Civic and Community Engagement. She will
oversee several key offices, including Title IX, Civic and Community Engagement, Multicultural
Services, Religious and Spiritual Life, and the Randall Lewis Center for WellBeing and Research.


Dr. Frost holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Claremont Graduate University,
along with master’s degrees in counseling and education. Her research and professional work
have focused on student success, inclusive leadership, and institutional transformation.
