Scholarship Gala Honors Volleyball Team
Leopards recognized after historic NCAA championship run
The University of La Verne’s Women’s Volleyball team, coming off a historic run to the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championship match, will be honored at the university’s 2026 Scholarship Gala, a celebration dedicated to supporting student success.
The annual event will take place Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Sheraton Fairplex Suites and Conference Center in Pomona, bringing together faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters for an evening of recognition, community, and philanthropy.
The gala highlights the impact of academic scholarships at La Verne while celebrating the achievements of students and the supporters who help make their education possible. This year’s recognition of the volleyball team reflects one of the most memorable moments in recent Leopard athletics history.
Faculty and staff are invited to attend at a special discounted rate of $250 per ticket (regularly $400) in appreciation of their commitment to the university’s mission. Of that amount, $50 is tax-deductible.
The evening begins with a 6 p.m. reception, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing at 8:30 p.m. Guests are invited to attend in black-tie optional attire.
