Reasons/Scenarios that warrant a Disability Appeal
The University of La Verne does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Students with physical, learning, and/or psychological disabilities my request accommodations to financial aid policies on an appeal basis.
Most commonly this appeal is used to request to receive institutional aid reserved for full-time students as a part-time student, due to disability.
How to Appeal
To appeal, students must register with University of La Verne’s Accessibility Services Department (ASD) and sign a waiver allowing ASD to share information with the Financial Aid Office.
The student should then contact the Financial Aid Office to schedule a phone or in person appointment with a Financial Aid Counselor to discuss their special circumstances.
For more information, please contact the Accessibility Services Department at (909) 448-4938.
