Effective March 7, 2022, the requirement that all students, faculty, staff, guests, and vendors wear masks in indoor public settings will move to a strong recommendation that all people, regardless of vaccine status, continue indoor masking.

COVID-19 Spring Term Update

As we approach the end of January, we continue to experience a high volume of COVID-19 infections across our region due to the prevalence of the Omicron variant. To help minimize COVID-19 transmission within the university community, we are putting the following measures in place.

COVID-19 Update – January Remote Learning and Work

After careful consideration, the University of La Verne will take steps to reduce the number of people on our campuses in January by moving most of our teaching, learning, and work to remote for the majority of the month.

Due to a sharp increase in the number of reported cases of coronavirus in Los Angeles County, the Department of Public Health has announced that face coverings must again be worn at all times while indoors in public spaces, regardless of an individual’s vaccination status.

California Supplemental Paid Sick Leave

Senate Bill 95, Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (SPSL), recently signed by Governor Newsom, provides immediate COVID-19 paid sick leave to employees, up to 80 hours for full time appointments.
