In fall 2009, the University enrolled 7485 regular students (about 6156.6 FTE/Full-Time Equivalents, excluding Non-Degree Professional Development students). Of those regular students, about half were either on Main Campus (54%), or enrolled on full-time basis (55.7%), or at graduate level (48.7%). And about two thirds of them were female.
In terms of ethnicity, 37.2% of them were Caucasian, 38.6% Latino/Hispanic, 11.1% African American, and 11.4% Asian American/Pacific Islander. Among those students, 803 were new undergraduate students and 886 were new graduate students.
During Academic Year 2008-2009, the University also awarded 1059 undergraduate degrees and 1124 graduate degrees.
