Assemblyman Chris Holden Honors University President Devorah Lieberman
Assemblyman Chris Holden honored University of La Verne President Devorah Lieberman as a Woman of Distinction at an open house event March 3 at his Pasadena district office.
Holden, Assembly Majority Floor Leader, held the event in celebration of Black History Month and Women’s History Month. The 41st Assembly District’s Unsung Hero was honored as well as nine Women of Distinction from other geographic areas of the district. More than 50 nominations were submitted for the Women of Distinction Award, recognizing women for their contributions to the community.
“Dr. Devorah Lieberman has dedicated her personal and professional life to three goals: educating and cultivating future leaders through higher education, promoting inclusivity among all while honoring diverse cultures, and leading by example with integrity,” according to a Assemblyman Holden’s press release.
