Gallery Featuring Disabled Artists’ Work Opens at College of Law

The College of Law celebrated the opening of a yearlong exhibition featuring art from adults with developmental disabilities on Oct. 19.

The artists are from Claremont’s First Street Gallery Art Center, a program of the Tierra del Sol Foundation. The foundation supports disabled people by helping them live independently and with valued roles in society. Artists at First Street receive professional art training and resources to produce paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, and more.

The exhibit opening coincided with the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of its partnership with the Disability Rights Legal Center.
