7:00am – 8:30am Check-In and Continental Breakfast
Enjoy some continental breakfast and pick up your lanyard and University of La Verne swag bag (while supplies last).
8:30am – 8:55am Welcome!
Our welcome ceremony will focus on a warm welcome from our Chief Student Affairs Officer and a special surprise from our Orientation Week Leaders.
9:00am – 10:00am Meet Your Orientation Week Leader (Students only)
Students will have the opportunity to meet their Orientation Week Leader and get tips on how to thrive at the university.
Parent Coaching Session (Parents only)
This session will provide helpful information to parents regarding their student’s transition to the University. This session will also be provided in Spanish as well.
10:00am – 10:55am Academic Advising, Course Registration Session**
Learn about the path to graduation, the academic calendar, and things to know as you prepare to register for classes.
11:00am-11:55am Financial Aid and Student Account Services**
This session will review financial aid process, types of financial aid and discuss payment options and alternatives.
12:00pm-1:30pm Lunch & Resource Fair
Enjoy a meal from the Spot Dining Hall and explore the different resources we have available at the University of La Verne.
1:35pm – 2:20pm Academic Readiness (Students Only)
This is an opportunity for each college to help prepare their students for their 1st year at the University.
Housing & Residential Life (Parents only) **
Get the opportunity to meet the Housing & Residential Life and explore what it means for your student to live on-campus.
2:25pm- 3:10pm Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: I am La Verne (Students only)
One of our core values at the University is Diversity & Inclusivity. We will be exploring social identities and how you contribute to the diversity to our campus community.Health & Wellness Session (Parents only)**
Campus partners will be sharing their services, such as Campus Safety, Counseling & Psychological Services, etc.
3:15pm – 4:00pm Health & Wellness: Real Talk: Help Us Help You (Students only)
Let’s get real about help seeking and self-advocacy in college. This interactive discussion will give you the tools needed for success throughout your college journey and beyond.
Parent Social (Parents only)
Meet and mingle with other parents and staff.
4:00pm-5:00pm Parent/Guardian/Familia Farewell
This is an opportunity for students to say their farewells with their guest(s) as they will continue with the rest of the SOAR program.

9:30am-10:45am The C-Word: Consent
The C-Word: Consent is an educational, highly interactive, Title IX compliant program. This program uses a combination of audience interaction, improve exercises and thoroughly researched information to break down walks and have a frank, difficult, but needed conversation about bystander interaction, effective boundary setting, online behavior, and survivor resources.
10:50am-11:30am Technology 101
Students will have the opportunity to log into portal and connect to Wifi to prepare for registration at 1:00pm.
10:50am-11:30am Career Readiness (Transfer Students only)
The Career Center will present information on how to get connected to programs and service through Handshake, ULV’s online career platform and introduce an exciting spring semester kick off of #GETREADYULV, How to make the most of your ULV year experience.
11:30am-12:50pm Lunch
1:00pm- 2:30pm Group Advising (Freshmen students)
The first group of students will begin the advising and registration for their Fall classes.Photo Scavenger Hunt (Freshmen and Transfer students)
