VeteranResources and Success

The University of La Verne, a Military Friendly award recipient for ten consecutive years, has a proud tradition of providing a supportive educational environment for veterans, service members who are active duty and Reserve, National Guard and military-connected registered domestic partners and dependents. Whether studying at the central campus in La Verne, at one of our regional campuses, Naval Base Ventura County, Vandenberg Space Force Base, or through La Verne Online, there are dedicated staff to assist you.

The Sara and Michael Abraham Center for Veteran Student Success (ACVSS) serves as a liaison to services, resources and programs on behalf of its military connected students. ACVSS advocates for and promotes veteran community, engagement and assistance for successful educational experiences and outcomes.

Through the ACVSS, active duty military and veterans will have access to computers, printing and assistance with referrals to tutoring, psychological and counseling services, local VA and other resource services.

Update(s):  Duo certification for Post 9/11!  On or after December 17, 2021, students using the Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefit will be required to verify enrollment at the end of each month to receive MHA and/or kicker payments. This is in addition to submitting the Request for VA Certification of Classes form every time you register for or add/drop classes required for all VA benefits users.  See more info regarding opting in for text verification on the Get Started page (link on the left).
