Continuing Students

The 2021-2022 housing application is NOW OPEN!

If you are NOT a newly admitted freshman, graduate or transfer student, you are considered a CONTINUING student. The procedures and deadlines outlined below are for continuing students. Students must be in good financial or judicial standing to be eligible to apply.

How to Apply

Step 1: Log into LaVerne Portal. Click on “Housing” under Student Resources section. Next, click on Student Services and Financial Aid” to find the link “Apply for Housing”.

Step 2: Complete Application. The application consists of THREE (3) main steps:

  1. Select the application period; complete background information; indicate building/room type preferences; and electronically sign the Housing License Agreement (also known as the contract), select meal plan, and answer lifestyle/roommate questionnaires.
  2. Pay the non-refundable $100.00 housing application/activity fee.  Application considered “complete” once payment is submitted.
  3. Complete optional pages of application, such as signing up for renter’s insurance.

Step 3: Room Placement. During the week of April 12-16th, the housing department will do an initial placement of continuing students. Priority will be given to those who have or intend to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by move-in date. Room placement is also determined by the following: a) Housing Insecurity, b) Distance, c) Class level, and d) Application Payment date.  Students should apply as early as possible to try to ensure a placement.

Applications and fees received AFTER March 30, 2021 priority date will be offered assignment based on availability and our criteria above. The student will be notified by email once he/she/they has/have been assigned a housing space. Student can also log on to the housing application to review the assignment.

JULY 23 Deadline to enroll in classes and fulfill financial arrangement with Student Accounts Office
AUG. 21 Continuing Student Move-In (Waves to be assigned)
AUG. 21 Last day to cancel confirmed License Agreement to receive 100% refund
