To help students remain on track with their education through the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of La Verne is proud to announce that it will award additional scholarships to all students who enroll in classes for the summer term.
University of La Verne journalism students and graduates earned 15 awards from the Society of Professional Journalists Region 11 for articles and photographs published in 2019.
Four student projects were also among the finalists for the awards, which were presented during a ceremony held Feb. 20 in Monterey.
The award will allow Marcus to travel to Austria to explore how artists have used their talents to protest against human rights abuses.
Ana Benitez, a senior kinesiology major, has been named a 2020-2021 Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact, a coalition of colleges and universities committed to fostering community engagement on campus and beyond.
University of La Verne Master of Public Administration Among U.S. News & World Report’s Top-Ranked Programs
The university’s public administration program is ranked in the top five of programs in the greater Los Angeles region, and it rose eight places this year to 101st out of 276 graduate programs across the nation.
