TimelyCare (Tele-Counseling)

The University of La Verne is committed to providing students access to comprehensive health and mental health resources throughout their academic journey at the University.   In addition to established resources like CAPS, Student Health Center, and the The Randall Lewis Center for Well-being and Research.   The University also offers the TimelyCare (Tele-Counseling) a virtual health and well-being platform.

This service is made possible through funding from the Health and Wellbeing Fee and the Institute of Mental Health and Psychological Well-Being.

As a student enrolled at the University of La Verne, you can access free virtual health and well-being support, as well as self-care content, anytime.

TimelyCare (Tele-Counseling) provides the following services:

  1. Virtual Crisis Counseling (TalkNow): Provides 24/7 access to on-demand emotional support.
  2. Virtual Counseling Sessions: Students can now schedule virtual counseling sessions at any time, including after hours and during breaks, with a diverse group of professional therapists (12 visits per academic year). 
  3. Self-Care Content: Students have access to 24/7 self-care tools and resources, such as meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos, and expert articles.
  4. Peer Community – Students can share their experiences with a nationwide network of students 
  5. Care Navigation – Students have the resources to create a personalized care plan

Q: Who can use TimelyCare?

A: All students enrolled at the University of La Verne can use TimelyCare.

 

Q: How much does it cost to use TimelyCare?

A: Registered students have 12 free scheduled counseling sessions per academic year.  After the 12th session, students have the option of accessing additional care through CAPS or continuing sessions with their chosen timely care therapist ($79 per session).

 

Q: I have insurance, how does TimelyCare benefit me?

A: With TimelyCare, you will have free, 24/7 access to providers from anywhere in the United States, regardless of your insurance status. So, you’ll never have to spend time or money on care, whether you’re on or off campus.

 

Q: What can I be treated for?

A: TimelyCare’s providers can offer support for a wide range of mental health common concerns, and after talking to you, they will decide on the best course of treatment.
